Notification of new or changed postal address in Norway and/or abroad
You can add or change a postal address if you want post from the public sector to be sent there instead of your address registered with the National Population Register. This also applies even if you live abroad.
Moving within Norway
If you intend to move within Norway, you must send a change of address notification to the National Population Register (folkeregisteret) no later than eight days after you have moved. The National Population Register is managed by the Norwegian Tax Administration.
Grant for funeral
Funeral grant is intended to cover incurred, necessary funeral expenses. The grant is means-tested.
Service Centre for Foreign Workers
The Service Centre for Foreign Workers (SUA) is a centre where the Labour Inspection Authority (Arbeidstilsynet), the Police (politiet), the Tax Administration (skatteetaten) and the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) work together towards foreigners arriving to Norway for employment purposes, with the aim of providing them appropriate guidance and a shortening of the time used for processing their applications. Getting married in Norway
Before you can get married, the Norwegian Tax Administration must check whether you meet the conditions for entering into marriage. The process may take some time, so make sure you allow plenty of time before the wedding.
Marriage agreements
It is possible to draw up marriage agreements (prenuptial agreements) in Norway to regulate the ownership of a couple’s assets/property. If this is not done, assets/property are automatically regulated by Norwegian marriage legislation. (The form is in Norwegian only)
